Auto Use

The 'Auto Use' Class is designed for use with items where the sale of one item causes the use of other items. Imagine you are selling chocolates and you have a product called 'Mixed Basket'. When you sell this product you take 4 of each type of chocolates from your display and put them in a basket. You do not want to have to generate a Factory order for each basket that you sell as you don't make them up until you sell them. The 'Auto Use' class can be used to specify the chocolates and the basket as materials for the 'Mixed Basket' product. When an item of this product is sold the system will automatically reduce the stock of chocolates and baskets for you.

Note that with this class the item itself cannot maintain a stock on hand value. As materials are used in exact proportion to sales the Production and Sales quantities of this item always remain in synchronous causing a zero stock on hand.
