Document Numbering

The sales entry form can be used to enter any of the four sales documents. When a document type is selected the next available document number of that type is automatically presented. The document number consists of a two character machine identifier followed by a six digit incremental number. Each document type has its own number sequence. The machine ID is unique to each computer.
