Transfer Send
A branch may receive a request for transfer electronically or by other means (phone, fax, mail). When a branch receives a request electronically the document appears as a Transfer Order on the Transfers screen. For other request methods the user must raise a new transfer document and enter the details manually.
Transfer Orders are seen by the supplying branch as similar to customer orders. They are requirements for stock that must be met by stock on hand, or by supply (Factory and Purchase orders). The auto purchase system takes into account Transfer requirements as part of its calculations.
When goods are available for delivery they can be sent to the requesting branch by entering the quantities to the Sent column. Note that like a customer order the "Picked" column of a Transfer order is loaded by allocations from goods received on either Purchase or Factory orders. The Deliver button can be used to move these picked quantities to the Sent column.
Warning. You should not alter details of a Transfer order that has been transmitted to you other than to pick or Send stock. The Requesting branch should always remain the master of the document and as such changes should always be made there.
