Credit Limits
A credit limit can be entered for each customer. If a credit limit is entered (ie. any amount greater than zero) then at the time of raising a sales document the system will check the customers balance against the credit limit. How the Sales system handles the document if the credit limit is exceeded depends on the users Credit security level, see Security for details. The credit limit is displayed on the customer list screen and Trial Balance report, and is used in the Customer Credit report. The Credit Limit field on the customer screen is highlighted in red whenever the customer has exceeded their limit.
