Reviewing Supplier Prices

The Supplier Catalogue also allows you to compare supplier prices and to select and set the most preferred supplier based on price. This facility is only available on product based entries as it requires the purchase cost and/or rebate cost for each supplier of a product.

By selecting the range of records you wish to update the Set Preferences button can be used to re-arrange the preferences based on either purchase or rebate cost. Optionally if the 'Adjust product cost' switch is set the product file will be updated with the cost of the new most preferred supplier. Note that where product costs are being set from the supplier catalogue sell prices are not effected (this may result in changes to the markups from cost to sell prices).
