It is not necessary to enter anything at all to the system prior to making your first cash sale. Default entries are made to all of the key files of the system. Of course to enjoy many of the features Acumen has available you will want to model your company within the Acumen system. This can be done be defining various divisions within your data. Following is a list of items that can be used to segregate and associate your data. They are grouped by their area of effect. Note that defaults are supplied for all items and that it is not compulsory to enter any records to any files to make a sale. The order of the items is arranged to allow ease of entry and is a guide only. Feel free to skip irrelevant sections or to come back to a section later.
