Estimate Due Date
The estimate due date is the date on which you expect to be able to deliver the goods for a customer order/quote. This date should be monitored and reviewed frequently. The more accurate you keep this date the better the system will respond.
The Acumen system uses the estimate due date as a priority for customer orders. Goods received on purchase orders are allocated to customer orders in sequence of their respective due dates. The due date also provides a means for reporting on customer orders that are overdue or that should be being prepared for delivery.
By default Acumen uses the estimate due date as the priority for all order lines. You can optionally choose to access this priority date on individual lines allowing parts of an order to be prioritised at different dates.
You can specify a standard duration for specific Order Types. Using the Pulldown Editor you can set the number of months and/or days from the order date that an order should be due. This setting is typically used for Lay By, Rentals, etc. Another effect of putting a duration on these order types is that the system will enforce any minimum deposit settings established on the Company screen.
