Allocating Supplier Credit Notes
Supplier Credits can be allocated against a reference document (typically a Supplier Invoice) at the time of entry. This can be done by pressing the Suggest button which will locate the most likely Claimed Invoice. Alternatively the user simply selects the document type and the document code, or they use the transaction list pop up to select the document. Note that this document may be any valid creditors transaction not just a supplier invoice.
Note also that a credit cannot reference a document that does not have an existing transaction in the creditors files. If for any reason the reference transaction is not present at the time of processing the credit then the credit will remain unallocated (ie. the reference details will not be recorded on the credit transaction).
