Part Ordered

When the above equation for "On Order" results in a value grater than zero but less than the order quantity the status is referred to as Part Ordered. This means there is or will be some stock available by the due date but it is insufficient to cover the full quantity ordered. This status may occur for two reasons:

• a purchase order has been raised to cover this order but will arrive too late.

• further purchase orders are required to fulfil sales needs.
