This status arises where there is not enough stock available either from stock on hand or from purchase deliveries to satisfy this order by its due date. This status also indicates that although there is some stock arriving after the due date this will not be sufficient for this order. When in this status there is a need for further purchase orders to be placed to cover this and/or other orders.
