Overview
The general ledger system permits complete user definition of the ledger structure. Following are some of the key facilities you can define:
The size, number and position of ledger code segments is definable.
The chart of accounts can be grouped into sections providing a tree like hierarchy.
A number of statement levels can be defined (eg. Balance sheet, Profit and Loss, Trading statement, etc.). Statement levels provide parent child ledger relationships with parent accounts containing the balance of their child accounts.
Carry forward or Suspense accounts can be defined to provide automatic transfer of closing balances for a new year.
Bank accounts can be defined along with cheque printing formats.
