Entering Journals for Alternate Years

Acumen allows privileged users to enter journals to years other than the current financial year. Using the Ledger Configuration screen you can select a past or future year to be the current input year. While you have an alternative year selected Acumen causes the selected year to flash in the message bar at the bottom of the screen where the date and time are normally displayed. This is to remind you that you are in a special mode of operations.

Once the year has been selected the Journal Input screen will allow you to create journals for periods within that year. Note that you do not need to alter the current input year to process or edit a journal that has already been created for an alternate year.
