Quotes and Customer Orders

Before we can supply our customers we may have to give them a quotation before we get the business. Acumen can change this quote into a customer order by the simple click of the mouse. Any quotations that do not become orders can be deleted from the system after analysis as to the reason for not being successful. A simple click can produce a deposit to be taken against the order, or maybe you want to change the order to a layby and accumulate multiple deposits against it.

By pressing the supply button, the order can automatically pick from stock on hand to fill the order, and if this is insufficient, it will automatically raise the necessary supplier purchase orders, transfer orders and/or plant manufacturing orders required to satisfy the customer order needs. As it raises these requests it flags them with the customer order number so that when the goods are delivered into the store, the system knows which order they are for and picks them onto the customer order and flags it for attention. A pick slip can now be printed for action by the warehouse.
