Security

Acumen's security module gives you control over the menu options available to the various users of the system so that, for example, sales staff cannot access the creditors payment options or warehouse staff cannot update debtors receipt information. Multiple security levels not only provide access, but also control function such as being able to view information, having edit capability to change information, ability to add new records, delete old records etc., thus providing you with a range of graduated controls to suit the functionality and authority of staff, as well as providing secure access to important company information.

The security system also provides the means of giving a lower level staff member temporary authority to say sell an item at cost price on a particular sale or sell to an over-limit customer, by providing an electronically secure authorisation code that will only work in that instance. A central log of authorisations issued allows for analysis of particular trends so that company policy can be enforced or modified in response to business trends.
