Creating New Ledgers
Acumen starts a new year with absolutely no ledger records in existence. It only creates ledgers for a year as they are required. This increases the speed and performance of Acumen enormously. To avoid the problem of not knowing if a ledger is not present because it has not been created or has never existed Acumen applies the following.
If a ledger does not exist in the current year but exists in any other year, and if that ledger has not been marked as inaccessible (don't post checkbox) then it will automatically create the ledger whenever a user tries to reference it.
If this ledger does not exist in any year and the user has Manager level access then Acumen asks if the ledger should be created.
If this ledger does not exist in any year and the user does not have Manager level access then the ledger code is rejected.
